"Divide and Conquer" Limited Edition Art Print
On February 20, 1815 two British men-of-war, a light frigate of 34 guns and a corvette of 22 guns set their sights for a heavy American frigate. The first shot was fired at sunset and within an hour the British ship HMS Cyane surrendered and after a nearly two-hour pursuit the HMS Levant followed suit. The heavy American frigate was the famed USS Constitution, "Old Ironsides," with three victories and no defeats to her credit.Image Size: 21 3/8 inches x 29 7/8 inches.
